NY City Council Candidate Yoni Hikind (Our Neighborhood) will hold a Town Hall meeting tonight at 9 PM at Sisu V’Simcha Hall, 4127 18th Ave., Boro Park. The meeting, which will allow community members to establish their priorities, is part of Hikind’s on-going commitment to give residents of Borough Park, Midwood, Kensington, Flatbush, Bensonhurst, and Gravesend opportunities to raise concerns, ask questions, and appropriately establish the issues that must be addressed at the City Council.
“Community Board meetings are vital, but many residents have concerns that aren’t necessarily addressed at those meetings,” said Hikind, whose Cleaner Street Plan was recently validated by the NYC Public Advocate. “While I will always be available to constituents who have issues, I also believe regular Town Hall meetings in different parts of the district will be invaluable to our community.”
Yoel Schwartz, a Boro Park resident, noted, “Yoni Hikind is in our neighborhood every day listening to our concerns. I’m impressed by the ideas he has been sharing, but even happier that he’s listening to us. We haven’t seen that before.”
