MAZEL TOV! Charedi Quadruplets Finally Sent Home After Almost Two Month Hospital Stay

Following a six-week stay in the hospital, Charedi quadruplets, born to the Levy family of Kiryat Sanz in Netanya, have been sent home happy and healthy.

Rav Chaim and Tilli Halevi praised the hospital staff at Netanya’s Laniado hospital for their care and treatment of the newborn babies. Receiving the couples highest praises were members of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and specifically Dr. Aryeh Simmonds the NICU’s director of operations and chief nurse Etti Litig.

“The NICU staff did tremendous work over a very long hospitalization process for our four children,” said Rav Chaim and Tilli in a letter. “There were moments that we doubted the outcome, but Baruch Hashem, the staff watched over our children and acted with an air of professionalism and undertook incredible clinical procedures in order to safeguard the health of our children.”

The couple continued their praises for other members of the hospital staff as well. “During the entire pregnancy, which also saw its difficulties, we received incredible care from the nursing staff and Dr. Melvina from the maternity ward. They accompanied us throughout the entire process right up until the incredibly emotional birth.”

Having quadruplets is an incredibly rare medical occurrence. However, less than six months ago another family in northern Israel had quadruplets in Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. The chances of having a successful birth of quadruplets where all four children survive is 1 in 720,000.
