Loss: Rabbi Elimelech Borenstein, OB"M

With sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Elimelech Borenstein, a prominent member of Anash in Bnei Brak, at age 74. Rabbi Borenstein was known as an iluy, studied in Litvishe yeshivos in his youth, and became a Lubavitcher Chossid before his marriage to the daughter of mythological Mashpia Rabbi Dovid Goldberg, ob"m.

He is survived by -yibodlu l’chaim tovim- his wife Sora, and children Mrs. Nechama Dina Weber (Kiryat Ata), R’ Dovid (Ra’anana), R’ Moshe (Ashkelon), R’ Chaim (Kiryat Tiv’on), R’ Shmuel (Yerushalayim), and Mrs. Rachel Gewirtz (Tel Aviv), as well as his brother Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov, Rosh Yeshivas Kiryas Melech.

The levaye will leave his home on Damesek Eliezer Street in Bnei Brak at 1:30 PM, passing the Lubavitcher Shul in Neve Achiezer where he davened for decades, continuing to the Shamgar Funeral Home in Yerushalayim, and leaving at 3:30 to Har Hamenuchos.
