A 16-year-old resident of Elad was brought before the court on Wednesday facing charges of theft after he allegedly stole credit cards and went on a shopping spree in stores around the city. The court is expected to arraign the accused until the end of the proceedings against him.
Police began their investigation into the case following numerous complaints by owners of a chain of supermarkets in the predominently Charedi city, that their stores had been broken into and credit cards had been stolen.
During the interrogation of the accused, it was discovered that he had allegedly used the stolen credit cards for a shopping spree in malls in Petach Tikvah and spent thousands of shekels.
